The National Association of Development Organizations (NADO)

Economic development districts face a myriad of challenges to build inclusive strategies that resonate across communities served and work to close the urban-rural divide. Rachel Burcin spoke at the National Association of Development Organizations (NADO) annual conference to address the central question and purpose posed by economic development leaders:  How do we forge collaboration between and among economic development, workforce development, and education for thriving communities?  The plenary talk brought together higher education, public media, and a not-for-profit organization to share experiences from the perspectives of practitioners and researchers. The session was facilitated by Jill Foys, (jillf@northwestpa.org), Executive Director of the Northwest Commission.
